What people want

Piotr Afonasyevich once asked some citizens he knew:

- What do people want?

- In general, people want health, love, prosperity and joy," citizens responded.

- Yes? - Piotr Afonasievich was surprised, - why is everything so strange with you, if not to say more so?

- What do you mean? - the citizens didn't understand.

- Well, it is clear with health, though why should you want it: do not sin and be healthy. But love... You do not want love, you are afraid of it, at least it looks that way from the outside.

Some want money from love, some want respect, some want to be worshipped, some want sex, some want self-actualization, God, what a word, some want something else. But love, pure and simple, who wants it?

There's nothing of value in your world except love. It's just a fog. I don't understand how you live there. And your joy is also strange, insincere and unintelligent, a mockery of one thing, a dope. Pleasure.

I would like to run away from you, that's what I tell you, but my conscience won't let me: there are good and intelligent people among you. That's what we stand for.
