Snake

One day Peter Afonasyevich was walking through the forest. It was a wonderful warm day, the forest was full of the sounds of living creatures and pure thoughts.

Piotr Afonasyevich felt harmony and grace. So he walked and walked and came upon a beautiful glade filled with sunlight.

I'll lie down and think, thought Pyotr Afonasyevich and lay down on the grass. After a while the sounds of the forest lulled Peter Afonasyevich to sleep.

When Piotr Afonasyevich woke up some time later, he found a snake on his chest. It was curled up in rings, quietly dozing.

Piotr Afonasievich lay there for a little while, wondering what it could mean, but no answer came.

- Warmed the snake," he said quietly, and gently took the snake in his hands and laid it on the grass.

The snake opened its eyes, broke away from sleep for a moment, even hissed a little, thinking whether to bite or not. The snake closed its eyes and went back to sleep: this Peter Afonasyevich was a very nice man.

Piotr Afonasievich sat for a while looking at the snake, then stretched sweetly and thought: "peace to all that exists".

With that, he stood up and, pondering the wisdom of creation, continued his walk.
